At The End Of Yonge Street

As many of you probably know, Toronto’s Yonge Street is dubbed as one of the longest streets in the entire world. Two photographers decided to walk from the intersection of Yonge St & Wellington St (in Aurora) south along Yonge until they hit Lake Ontario. It took them about 14 hours to walk over 42 kilometers, while taking photos documenting the day. They’ve turned those thousands of photos in to this incredible stop-motion video called “At The End Of Yonge Street”.

What do you think of the video?

Even better then the time lapse snow video.
Such a simple idea, great execution. These guys had a lot of time on their hands that day.
My only contention is: I would like to have seen that slowed down – to take in the scenery.

*funny thing…they probably walked it faster than actually trying to drive that stretch during peak time!

A few years ago, there was a group of Cdn Army Reservists whose goal was to walk the great wall of China. They decided to start with Yonge St, raising funds and awareness for Big Brothers/Sisters along the way through the province. They started July 1st in Rainy River and ended @ 1 Yng St on August 8. 40 days and 40 nights. Truly an amazing project to be a part of.
    Great stuff!
