Last year a good friend of mine Darren Anthony told me about his play Secrets Of A Black Boy. He spoke about it with so much passion and excitement that I had to check it out. Don’t laugh at me, but after watching the play I wanted to be in it, I wanted to take acting lessons and be a part of the next production. As titled, the play explores the Secrets Of A Black Boy through different characters, different walks of life within our society today. The play connects with both men and women in the audience because of the real life situations and issues covered. Great writing, acting, and production – Secrets Of A Black Boy is a must see. Playwright Darren Anthony brother of Trey Anthony producer and creator of Da Kink In My Hair is also known as the Tyler Perry of Toronto. He has found a way for his scripts to connect with the everyday person and demand the acclaim of the theatre critics alike. Trust me when I say the content will stay with you long after the curtains close.
